Ethan Veliky is a guitarist, composer, and educator based in Indianapolis, Indiana. He holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Jazz Studies from Butler University, and a Master’s Degree in Studio Music and Jazz from the acclaimed Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. During his time at Miami, Ethan studied privately under guitarist John Hart, performed as a member of the Frost Studio Jazz Band under the direction of Etienne Charles, and worked extensively accompanying vocalists as a member of the Frost Vocal Jazz Ensembles under the direction of Dr. Kate Reid. Ethan plays guitar in a wide variety of styles including jazz, classical, country, bluegrass, and rock. He has worked as a member of pit orchestras and contemporary worship bands. Additionally, Ethan writes and performs his own works that draw on his varied musical influences.

Along with being an accomplished performer, Ethan is an experienced educator. He teaches both private and group guitar lessons to a students of all musical backgrounds and levels of experience. In his role as a teaching artist for the Butler Community Arts School (BCAS), Ethan runs the guitar program at Christel House Academy where he teaches guitar ensembles and private lessons to more than 80 students. In the past he served as artistic director for BCAS’s Guitar Adventure Camp and now serves as the artistic director for the newly formed Rock Band Camp. Ethan is committed to providing high-quality music education and delivering lessons that are fun and engaging while also helping his students become competent, well-rounded musicians.
